Dear Councillor,

 I hereby give you notice that the Annual Parish Council Meeting of Ropsley and District Parish Council will be held at Ropsley Hall on Monday 12th January 2026 at 7.15pm.  All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted as set out hereunder.

Public Forum:  The Parish Council meeting will be preceded at 7.00pm by a public forum for which Councillors are also asked to be present, at which members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council.  Members of the public are welcome to stay for the meeting but may not participate unless invited to do so by the Chairman.

1.            WELCOME REMARKS BY THE CHAIRMAN.

 

2.            APOLOGIES:  TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND TO RESOLVE TO ACCEPT REASONS GIVEN.

 

3.            TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST IN RELATION TO AGENDA ITEMS AND TO CONSIDER REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011.

 

4.            CO-OPTION

4.1         To co-opt a candidate to fill the casual vacancy on the Council.

 

5.            APPROVAL OF MINUTES.                                                                                                              

5.1         To resolve to accept the Clerk’s notes of the Parish Council meeting held on 10th November 2025.

10.         HIGHWAYS

10.1       To report on advisory 20mph speed zone and yellow lines.

10.2       To consider any updates from LCC re the various traffic and road issues raised.

10.3       To consider the continuing parking problems in Ropsley

 

 

11.         CEMETERY

11.1       To discuss any matters concerning the cemetery and mowing.

 

 

12.         COMMUNITY UPDATES

12.1       To report on the Christmas Tree.

12.2       To report on the 2026 Calendars

12.3       To Discuss the Community Emergency Plan

12.4       IBC for orchard watering to be purchased in the Spring

12.5       To discuss the arrangements for the Volunteers Evening/Gardening Group

12.6       To report on the defibrillators

12.7       To receive any other community updates from Councillors.
